Battle for Kontum
I was Capt. William S. Reader's crew chief at the time. I also remember the C-130 crash at Kontum, the door to door fighting between the N.V.A and the Arvns, the T-52's, and the TOW firing UH-1B's. The funeral of John Paul Vann at Camp Holloway; I had to jump start the C-130 that took him home. Too many flashbacks to this day- I don't know how I made it. I'll never forget these men, the sights, the sounds, even the smells.
