if and when i find the order i can tell you exactly which ATC personnel were awarded the Bronze Star for Heroism in Ground Combat. The men who received this were John Grange from Kansas, Lawrence Wolf, Weatherford, TX, David McDowell, Missouri, Robert Elliott, Evansville, IN and Gale Morningstar. The controllers were involved with a large part of what happened in Kontum, to include handling refugee at the soccer stadium, directing attacks against rocket position since we could see them launched from the control tower, commo, etc. Wish i could remember everyone who was there but time takes its toll.
