Life after LaSalle

With the help of a State of Rhode Island scholarship, I graduated from Boston College with a BS in Accounting. I was in the ROTC program at BC and received a commission as an Army officer in the Military Police. In 1966 the Army provided me a free cruise to Vietnam on the USNS Buckner. A year later I returned home and was stationed at Fort Devens. In 1968 I finished my two year and six-month Army career and escaped with an honorable discharge as a Captain.
Despite a weakness in mathematics, I earned a CPA while working for Price Waterhouse in Boston. After four years I went into private industry. I held financial management positions in three international manufacturing companies and retired in 2008 as the Chief Financial Officer of Sun Hydraulics in Sarasota, Florida.
My wife Dee and I are “half backs.” We settled in the Carolinas, initially in Southport, North Carolina, and currently in Fort Mill, South Carolina located next to Charlotte.
These days we mainly travel up and down the East coast to visit our children and grandchildren. Last month we visited our two-month-old, great granddaughter in Virginia.
I recently self-published a memoir which covered only the first 27 years of my life. The Audio, E book and paperback are available on Amazon. I also created a website: “anunholymess.net.”
