Park Praises ROKs In Viet

SEOUL (AP) --President Park Chung Hee sent a telegram to South Korean forces in Vietnam Tuesday, congratulating them on their "excellent job" fighting against the current Communist offensive.

In the telegram, addressed to Lt. Gen. Lee Se Ho, commander of Korean forces in Vietnam, Park particularly praised the Tiger Division for its "outstanding job" in the two-week-old operation at An Khe Pass and Hill 638.

Defense Minister Yu Jae Hung followed Park Tuesday in sending a congratulatory message on the recapture of Hill 638 by Tiger Division elements the previous day, a Ministry spokesman said.
