By way of introduction I was a 1Lt in Vietnam 1971-1972. Initially I was a Plt Ldr with 2/37th (No Slack), 101st. I was wounded and spent a month on light duty. When I came back, the 2/327th had stood down. I was subsequently stationed at Holloway in time for the Kontum campaign. From time to time I'd ride shotgun with an AirCav scout friend of mine (he like the fact I'd carry a thumper - M209). Flying one of those choppers was like flying in a paper airplane (very scary for a ground-pounder). Retired, I'm taking a masters in Military History (out of boredom, haha). My paper will be on the campaign concentrating on the NVA side of the battle (strategy, tactics, C&C, etc.). I'm looking for anyone who might have salient information about the battle - specifically as it relates to the NVA. I have a million questions, but will wait to see if I get a reply - Thanks.
