After seeing the your page on the TOW missles first used in the Central Highlands. I can reemember flying missions with the Hawks Claw aircraft. The weapons system was so heavy the Huey carrying it would fly low. We would fly higher and drop smoke around any target spotted then our pilot would direct the Hawks Claw from the smoke. I hope my memory of this is correct. I seemed to be a jump into the future then(the accurracy of the missles). I can remember the wire watching wire coming from the back of the missle in a spiral motion as hover above the firing aircraft.
