The Reunion

The La Salle Class of 1961 celebrated its 60th anniversary of graduation with a wonderful reunion at the Academy on October 16th. Father Randy Chew said a special Reunion Mass to start off the day, with singing from the La Salle Department of Music and an evocative bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace after Jack Heslin read the names of deceased classmates. Randy’s homily was extraordinary, as he reminded us of the paths we have taken, led by the spiritual compass formed during our La Salle years.
We toured the beautiful La Salle campus, which has grown remarkably since 1961. Brother Dennis Malloy, President of La Salle, greeted us with the exceptional achievements of the School, with a large, diverse, and very talented student body. Our beloved School is thriving, and is in good hands.
Frank Sullivan presided over a trivia contest of all things La Salle, and facilitated over a intermingling of friends of over 60 years. It was a wonderful experience to share stories and memories with cherished classmates.
Jack Heslin will make sure that many pictures of the event with be on this Reunion Website.
