Thanks to La Salle & the Christian Brothers
Thanks to the Christian Brothers and faculty for the education I received during my four memorable years at La Salle. Their example, instruction, and Catholic education are the foundation that helped me tackle life's challenges. After graduation in 1961 and with the foundation I received at La Salle, I graduated from URI with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland (UMD). In between, URI and UMD I spent about 5-years on active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviator from 1967 to 1972. Following my active duty, I joined Bechtel Corporation where I worked for 43-years as a Mechanical Engineer and later in my Bechtel career as an Information Security Professional. While at Bechtel, I earned my Professional Engineers (PE) license and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certificate. Bechtel is a Global Engineering and Construction corporation that designs and builds major infrastructure projects in the USA and world wide. I remained in the Naval Air Reserve after my release from active duty and retired in 1997 as a Navy Captain after a total active and reserve service of 32-years.
