Leo Cummings, born as 'Lee' to Leo and Mary Cummings in Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home on February 11 at the age of 78. He was the eldest of three siblings, Kathy (Brown) and Kevin (deceased).

Leo graduated high school from La Salle Academy in 1962 and continued his education at the College of Santa Fe, (New Mexico) where he met the love of his life, Margaret. They were married in 1972 and together they had three children, Colleen (deceased), Brian, and Sean. Leo and Margaret began their family in California before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado where they raised their children as faithful Roman Catholics and attended Divine Redeemer and St. Mary's.

Leo had a successful career as a poker dealer, commuting daily to Cripple Creek for 25 years before retiring. He was a devoted sports fan, cheering on his favorite teams, especially the Denver Broncos and the Boston Red Sox.
He loved to travel to New Mexico for family gatherings or celebrations and was adored and felt accepted by his wife's extensive and close-knit family.

He had the gift of gab and never met a stranger, especially on the poker table, and loved a good argument or sports discussion. He was very proud of his 16 years of sobriety and was a life-long cigarette smoker.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, brother, and wife. He is survived by his sister, his two sons, four grandchildren, his nephew, Kelly, and numerous nieces and nephews.
